Imperial Stout (2020 With Blueberry And Vanilla)

Really enjoyed the Imp Stout part, but ‘meh’ for the blueberry and vanilla. Seems the barrel aging notes were more prominent after a couple of years resting. Delightful aftertaste.

Gorgeously smooth imperial stout as usual from these guys. Have to admit, putting extra flavours into these stouts kina doesn't improve them. Vanilla maybe, but the blueberry doesn't gel as well as it should with the rest. Just my observation.

I like the add of the blueberry (not much vanilla) but on top of what is already pretty rich and decadent it's a bit clunky

Sunday funday beers. Not very much in the way of vanilla and blueberry notes, but perfect imperial stout characters. Winning as the first beer of the afternoon.

Slick and smooth with coffee, umami and some tartness upfront from the blueberry I presume. Nicely balanced with some lingering sweetness.
