This is not a typical saison. The grain bill in this and the Belgian yeast make it a little unique. I get a mild to medium honey sweetness on the finish too. Bottle from 4/11/2014.

Opal is really a beautiful saison. A soapy, green, slightly spoiled grain aroma with a rustic character like an old wooden floor in a historic building. Tropical and a little citrusy in the mouth, with a refreshing, fruity, white wine-like sweetness.
