2020 Wet Hop Saison

This beer is a showcase of the hops we grow onsite, just steps away from our brewhouse. We work with them when they are freshly picked off the bine, at this stage they are known as wet hops. Working with hops in this way allows them to express more of the unique terroir that comes from where they were grown. So while we used Cascade in this beer, they are unlike Cascade hops grown anywhere else. We added them late in the fermentation of a Belgian Saison brewed with Murphy & Rude Brasetto Rye Malt. We then waited patiently while the beer naturally carbonated and conditioned in kegs. The result is a spicy saison with a big aroma, that is floral with hints of lemongrass and mandarin oranges.
