This beer is rated very lowly by the Untapperati. It’s very fruity and not really expected for this style. I get some bourbon and a lot of fruit. Ok, but sort of disappointing for a premium beer.

Very disappointed in how this aged. The nose had me pumped but there’s a strong tart finish that wasn’t there on release. FW needs a serious change in their BA program. Lots of better options nearby…

Pours thick and opaque. Rich chocolate and roasted malt on the nose but it’s off. The first sip aaand it’s sour. Something happened in aging. Not the beer I was hoping for, not the one I think FW was going for in a flagship BA Russian Imperial stout.

Wanted to love it, but hoo boy. There's some carbonation, but barely. Very rough - flavors are not (yet?) integrated. Hard to get your around. Some conventional stout vibes - thankfully unsweet - but viscous, soy - really not sure what's going on.

Most polarizing beer of 2023…. Either Fieldwork has fired the dude who created this or promoted him. Better than the first time. Some soy type flavor on back end but bit as much as on draft. Win some, you lose some, but credit for FW for taking a chance

Had it on tap at fieldwork and whatever this is in the bottle is not the same beer. Def got some bleeding from the other beers. Remainder me of the Bruery beers years ago before they separated their sours from other beers. As a RIS this failed big time.
