A different type of Imperial Stout, Farthingale is not sweet and syrupy like many of its schoolyard chums. More akin to an oversized Dry Irish Stout than a contemporary Russian Imperial Stout, you’ll find a delectable base beer with a fairly dry finish with notes of roasted grain, biscuits, and black coffee. To bring this old-world flavor profile into the modern era, we balanced this finely crafted Ale with chocolate and a blend of green and black cardamom to complement this jumbo Stout without covering up the beauty of its base.
