California Sky

What do you do when you can’t fly home to see your friends and loved ones in San Diego? You brew up a Westcoast IPA and then collaborate on the label with your high school chum @joeenege. Few views evoke happier memories than seeing Crystal Pier from the Felspar Street cul de sac, and few smells accomplish the same the way Simcoe hops can. While quite a bit different from the Mickey’s grenades that usually filled our coolers, this batch is just as citrusy as previously but with an even more intense aroma and hoppy resinous mouthfeel that reminds us a lot of our favorite IPA(s) to come out of San Diego. California Sky is that IPA that did its job on the SOMA side stage and is finally getting its chance on the main stage in cans. Make sure to say its name at the door, or it will be back to opening for Ghoulspoon at the Soul Kitchen in El Cajon every weekend.
