Very complex and interesting, chardonnay barrel, very sweet and boozy, dried fruit (prune and something else I can't place), peppery. It also has a little tartness/drying that comes as a surprise.

A real pleasure to find a wheat wine. Certainly vinous from the Chardonnay barrel, but backed with more complex flavour. I'm getting tinned pears and caramelised pineapple. The finish is somehow both dry and sweet. Photo from the shop window.
