La parte torbata è poco evidente (ma il Caol Ila è forse tra i meno torbati di Islay), un po' di frutta rossa e disidratata, alcol, leggerissime maderizzazioni. Molto buona in bocca, è piuttosto secca sul finale.

The Christmas version of the Ila scotch ale... definitely getting the aromatics and a very cinnamon like spiciness, very good but I prefer the regular unadulterated version.

Complex, it takes a few sips to fully taste all it's nuances. You can smell the scotch peat as soon as you bring the glass at your nose though. Overall a great winter beer, it needed just a thicker foam imho.
