Essence

Ice cider, sweet dessert. This is ice wine made from apples. We allow the juice from late harvest apples to freeze during the winter. As the juice freezes and thaws, a concentrated portion collects in the center. We ferment this nectar partially, saving the natural apple sugars to make this a dessert cider. Essence is replete with flavors of honey, caramel, apricot jam and juicy apples. The 15% residual sugar is balanced by a lively tartness. This ice cider is impressive as dessert itself but can be spectacular paired with sweets such as crust-less Italian cheesecake, creme caramel or homemade cinnamon doughnuts. Show Less
