Nicknamed “Pinks & Greens,” the Army dress uniform during World War II consisted of a dark olive-drab gabardine wool coat with a sewn-on belt, the “Greens,” and light-shade drab trousers, the “Pinks”.
By 1945 the US Army had grown to over 8 million soldiers and fought victoriously in some of the largest and bloodiest campaigns in its history. Patriotism soared at an all time high and the Army was the most revered.
Our head brewer enlisted in the Army shortly after his 18th birthday and proudly continues his service to this day. As the Army considers a return of “Pinks & Greens,” we present this tribute to the sacrifices made by so many Americans in the name of freedom. Show Less
