Dig it! Roast, deliciously bitter high-cocoa dark choc, & bold dark roast coffee take the fore, w/ marshmallow & generously charred wood mid-taste, & warm vanilla, oak, subtle toasted wheat bread crumb, & late-joining prune & milk choc @fin. 4.4.
Tad T: Sublimely boozy, w/ 7.5% ABV on outsized display. Exceptionally creamy for the style. Embarrassingly late check-in from the end of July, but 9/2024 can drinking like a boss @10.5 months!

Very nice! Cocoa powder & fruit-forward bourbon lead, w/ generous prune, espresso, & touch of caramel mid-palate, & oak, vanilla crème, & gentle roast all sitting atop underlying toasted wheat bread crumb late.

Tad T: Initially subtle fruitcake & marshmallow bloom into the aftertaste as the other flavors recede. Unusually creamy for the style, though still retaining that hallmark dark lager drinkability. 4.4.

Such an insane combo of beers blended here - three styles of beer, multiple barrels, and foeder aging. I should have bought a case. Dark, dry, rye bread, black pepper and smoke, dark chocolate, caraway. Distinctive, delicious.

Good stuff! Oak, molasses, & lightly fruity bourbon take the fore, w/ deliciously bitter high-cocoa dark choc & increasingly bold prune mid-taste, & BIG vanilla crème & espresso bean @fin. Boozy(!), w/ every bit of 7.5% ABV on full, glorious display. 4.3.
Tad T: Late check-in from early April, but it felt like this may have just started coming out of its shell @7 months, w/ vanilla commandeering more space & nicely using it to show its fuller depth & nuance.
