Bitter. Almost tobacco flavor. Good and different than anything I e had in awhile. Don’t get a lot of barrel.

I like it! Opened 2014-02-19. Rest of our group found it exceedingly bitter, I loved the dry tannic finish balancing out the cherry and stonefruit vineous start and molasses sweet

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Going old school! Still tasty, despite Roger ‘s recent eval. Surprising barrel for 5 years aged. Cherry wood, vanilla, hint of port. Maybe not a 4.75 anymore, but I was also working with a smaller “n” back then.

Smells awesome, port and dark fruit. Taste is less port and more red wine, with a tannin bite.

Boozy, roasty, but also a little astringent. Slight cherry notes on the finish. Not bad.

Takes a moment to open up.
