Thick, sticky sweet molasses. Roasty coffee. Lots of barrel aged bourbon. Bitter dark chocolate finish.

Such a nostalgic beer for me. It was great 15 years and just as good now. The adjuncts are subtle and so well intigrated. Delicious beer.

Nose: woody oak, maple, cocoa. Taste: strong oak char base. Notes of cherry & black currant, chocolate. Tannin-rich cabernet wine finish. Char is a little too dominant & throws off the balance. New oak barrels introduced too much char and woody tannins.
