The Silver Ghost - Maiden uniteD I.P.A. edition 2018

R101, "The Silver Ghost". When built it was the world's largest flying craft at 731 ft (223 m) in length.

After some trial flights and subsequent modifications to increase lifting capacity, it crashed on 5 October 1930 in France during its maiden overseas voyage, killing 48 of the 54 people on board.

National feeling surrounding the disaster was huge; the funeral procession through London was watched by thousands.

English IPA: First brewed in England and exported for the British troops in India. To withstand the voyage, IPA's were basically tweaked Pale Ales that were much more malty, boasted a higher alcohol content and were well-hopped, as hops are a natural preservative. Show Less
