Looots of armagnac, very barrel forward. Still, not aggressive & bitter on the oak part, just soft w/ strong smooth brandy notes, caramel, vanilla, funk, gooseberry, nutty notes as well. Medium tart, nice balance with strong clean funk, long brandy finish

Poured into a decanter and it really helped open it up. Plentiful, soft carbonation. Notes of Earl grey tea, oak tannins, faint vanilla, kumquat in addition to the de rigeur lambic flavors that de Garde evokes.
