Russian Imperial Stout

Het is onze brouwfilosofie dat een goed bier als een traditionele matroesjkapop
moet zijn. Onder iedere laag ontdek je weer een nieuwe laag.
Zo complex en verrassend is ook onze Russische stout, met bittertinten en
tonen van koffie en chocolade. Dit stevige, donkere bier is niet alleen lekker als
je op de Neva wilt schaatsen, maar komt het hele jaar tot zijn recht. Had Tsaar
Peter de Grote nog geleefd, dan was hij ongetwijfeld wederom afgereisd naar
Nederland om met onze Russian Imperial Stout zijn legendarische dorst te
lessen.
De Russian Imperial Stout is ontstaan in 2014 als basisbier voor onze Russian
Imperial Barrel Aged Christmas Stout, een serie vatgelagerde bieren die
eenmaal per jaar wordt gebrouwen.

It is our brewing philosophy that a good beer should be like a Matryoshka
doll. You will keep finding new layers. That complexity and surprise you
will especially find in our Russian stout, with bitter notes and hints of
coffee and chocolate popping round with each sip.
This heavy dark beer is not only enjoyable when you can skate on the
Neva, you can savour it all year round.
Would Tzar Peter still be alive he would definitely have travelled back to
