Currant Styles, Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Milk Stout W/ Black Currants

When our friends at WineStyles dropped by with a few Templeton Rye Barrels last year, it didn’t take us long to come up with a plan to put them to good use. Our Milk Man Milk Stout, with its rich chocolate notes and cream-like sweetness, seemed the perfect choice to stand up to the powerful and spicy character of the rye. The addition of tart black currants adds a fruity complexity to the profile, and results in an almost cocktail-like experience.
