Brown's Woods English-Style Brown

Even though Iowa is known for big open fields of corn and soybeans, we love our trees too. This beer honors Brown's Woods in metro Des Moines. At 484 acres, Brown's Woods is the largest urban forest preserve in Iowa, full of Oak and Hickory with two miles of hiking trails running throughout. Brown ales, spawned from the English mild ales, are meant to be quaffed. Ours is made with traditional base malts from Great Britain with English and German crystal malts, as well as brown and chocolate malts. Traditional English hops add bittering and flavor. The result is a malt-forward beer, balanced by the hops, with a slight nutty, malty flavor, with a hint of biscuit. Show Less
