Reason Tatters (2022 Bourbon Barrel Aged)

We are proud to present to you Reason Tatters, our first imperial stout recipe that began as an experimental dive into the world of big beers. Over six years of trying different techniques, processes and ingredients, Reason Tatters has evolved into the liquid in this bottle. Intentionally formulated to withstand an extended period of conditioning in oak, we used a blend of base malt and hefty mounds of chocolate and roasted malts, then double mashed and given an extended boil. Aged for over 21 months in Buffalo Trace and Knob Creek bourbon barrels, you can expect waves of dark chocolate and fudge with hints of vanilla, cherry, charred oak, molasses and coconut.
