We joined up with Leeds giants Kirkstall Brewery. We thought long and hard on what would be the best beer, this led us to settle on an old-school bitter - a style of bitter that would have been very popular at the start of the 20th century. The base malt Chevallier we used was bred out of existence for nearly 100 years, until it was brought back into the market just a few years ago. It gives the beer a deep marmalade maltiness that we paired with the classic hop Cluster, which would have been used in beers in the USA during the same period. Cluster accents the characteristics of the Goldings and Challenger hops, all of which give a backbone of spice, pine and honey to compliment this malt-forward session beer. Show Less
