First hot was boozy chocolate covered cherries, this then moved towards toffee apples. There's red wine, and a bit of vanilla in the palate for me too. Quite sweet, but very pleasant indeed.

Sour and vineous, when I wasnt expecting it to be. Not getting any of the whiskey barrel. And it's thin. I fear there's some wild yeast doing some unwanted things with it. It's not getting any better as it goes down. Santa may prefer it 🎅🤷

Can't work this one out. Compared to other reviews, not much chocolate or even Speyside. Instead, after a fizzy pour, umami nose, then gentle vinous tart sourness and hints of tonka. Not awful, but not the advertised beer. As such, disappointing.
