Experimental Hoppy Lager Collab w/ Resident Culture (NC).
In early August, our friends from Resident Culture brewing in Charlotte, NC came out to make a beer. Their lager game is super strong, so we combined forces to create a hop forward beer highlighting Experimental Hop 692. We laid out a simple base of Weyermann Pilsner malt, kept the kettle hops light and added a large whirlpool addition of Hop 692, in addition to Saphir. During conditioning, we lightly dry-hopped the beer with more 692, along with Citra & Saphir. The end result is a modern American lager that exhibits notes of passion fruit, pineapple, cedar & earth with a crisp, snappy finish. Because this is how we brew lager….nowadays.
