Tasty. Not quite a wheatwine and not quite a barleywine though it’s more characteristic of a wheatwine. Some nice malty sweetness up front. Not the sweetness I would expect from an English barleywine but still a nice beer.

A lovely English BBA BW. The base has that toffee/raisin/leather trio and the bourbon barrel pairs well with it. Low carb as expected. Not too boozy or cloying. Really dig it. 4.25-4.5.

Lots of malt, toffee evolving into fruity and nutty (cherry/ almond, similar to munichwines)and a hint of fortified wine. Ends with a light bitter, pumpernickel note and licorice/ herbal aftertaste. More carbonation than I expected.
