Thought I'd pour to try before looking up notes, smelt malty, tasted it & straight away got a taste I didn't like! In amongst the malty flavour & light maple, with choc & coffee... picked up Licorice!!! FFS I hate Licorice, it shouldn't have been in here.

Dark stout with great mouthfeel. Chocolate, maple, licorice treacle and coffee dominate. That's a lot of flavour. Plus I get a hint of bourbon, though its not referred to. Perfect for sipping, as the multitude of flavours flow one after another. Great ale
