Great to contrast Lesson 2 (8 lbs fruit/gallon) with Lesson 1 (0.8 lbs fruit/gallon), both bottled in October 2019, with Masumoto spring lady peaches. Lesson 1 is more balanced, while Lesson 2 is more tart, but both have aged gracefully. (Continued below)

Eric Chase: Lesson 2 definitely brings more fruit heft with the dripping syrup and flesh of a peach. It's more like biting into a juicy peach. But the fruit in Lesson 1 has held on like a champ, and at 3+ years I give it the edge for its poise and balance.

More fruit = more delicious. Whereas lesson 1 has a subtle peach note that subsides quickly, this tasted like a fuller, rounder peach flavor that lingers and resolves like eating the flesh of a peach in the thick of summer. Best peach wild ale I've had.
