I was saving this 2017 version for a special occasion, but the can top popped up/expanded in last few weeks so I had to open it. It was super carbonated but not sour, strong yet subtle, sweet but not cloying, that's a good beer for random Saturday.

2017 variant. Smoked honeycomb nose. Immediately unique. Such bold yet subtle flavors. How do they do this?! Almost pastry mouth feel but smooth. Very sweet but not rich. This is absurd.

I know for a fact that this is good stuff. Roasted, somewhat smoky malt, unsweetened chocolate, slightly burnt brown sugar. As ZL said 4 years ago, very carbonated for an imperial stout. Could get you in the hammered lane really fast.

2/21/17 can from my cellar. Not infected, but not right either. More bubbles than champagne! Dark fruit, Cocoa, coffee, creme brûlée notes. Never had an Imperial Stout with this much carbonation. Taste is ok, mouthfeel is completely fucked! 😂
