Liberty Amber Ale

This thirst quenching ale was first brewed on a whim to satisfy both our desire for forward hop flavors and our need for a lower-alcohol summer beer to quaff during the brutally hot months. It was so popular, we did it again. It has a lighter body with a pleasant malty character. The hops provide just the right amount of bitterness as well as a dry-hopped spicy character which plays well with crackerjack notes of toffee, kettle corn, and toasted peanut skin. Our amber is named after Liberty Warehouse on Rigsbee Ave. This city block-sized building was once a giant tobacco auction warehouse. The structure was two stories, all wood, and allowed trucks to drive onto the wood floors to drop off tobacco. It has since been redeveloped into Liberty Warehouse Apartments, but the spirit of the old warehouse will live on through beer. Show Less
