Holiday Gävle Goat

The Gävle Goat is a Christmas display made of straw. Each year it is created and each year it is the target of arson attacks and has been burned to the ground most years since its first appearance in 1966. Each of our brewers submitted a beer idea for our first annual holiday brew. This Christmas ale with spruce, cinnamon, nutmeg and cocoa nibs won. The beer pours dark brown with a breads aroma, a rich earthy body, flavours of spicy baked goods and a resinous, evergreen finish from the spruce. This is our new tradition. This is our Gävle Goat.
