Winterland

An experimental batch of IPA made using our mash filter as a massive hop back. We pressed 60lbs of hops to form a "hop tea" that was then added to an already fermenting batch of beer. Our goal was to achieve greater hop flavor and aroma by not boiling the hops while at the same time avoiding hop flavor and aroma loss due to the CO2 produced during fermentation.
Brewed with Mecca Grade malt, raw barley, and raw wheat.
Hop Tea includes Equinox, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Southern Cross. Double dry-hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe.
