For several years now, Brewery Roman has had the tradition of brewing a New Year’s limited edition beer. For the 2017 edition, our brewers were inspired by the cosiness and warmth of a wood fire and have used oak from whisky barrels to give the beer a subtle oakiness. This has created a well-balanced, beautifully dark brown, top-fermented beer in which the flavours of caramel and dried fruit perfectly meld with the soft, velvety finish of the whisky wood. driaen Brouwer Winter Wood warms both body and soul.
