ROPA

When first brewed back in 2015 together with Apynys Brewing, we could not fit it in any style of beer. So we created a new one - ROPA or Red Oceania Pale Ale. Multiple carefully balanced German malts, USA hops and the unique Rakau hops from New Zealand. Rakau's history started back in 19th century when the new setllers from England and Germany came with their hops. The country climate for them was perfect and they mostly liked Nelson area, which later started naming some of their later generation grown hops by the names of Maori tribes and their cultural heritage.
