John Staradumsky: Sparky W. me too! One of my favorite styles although I like to call them India Dark Ales. Black IPA seems a contradiction in terms, though that is the name that stuck to the style.

A Cascadian ale style that has, incredibly, maintained much of its characer over the course of the last ten (10) years. No sediment. Has a roasted malt taste with a hoppy backing. Aged remarkably well. How? I have no idea.
