Light Out of Darkness

Dunkel ("dark") lagers have had a long history throughout the Old Country, collectively arising from an era when pretty much all beer was dark and brown. This is a modern take on that, with a slightly lighter malt flavor, for a higher degree of crushability. Dwelling somewhere in the land of the highly refreshing drinkability of a lighter lager, but with the malt sweetness and implied heft of a darker beer. Notes of toffee, bread crust, and a hint of apple round out the sweet malt character, but as a whole the finish is round and soft, supple and comely.
