L'idea di produrre una birra in collaborazioe con PicoBrew nasce a Bamberga, nella nella terra delle lager tradizionali, da una chiacchierata tra Pietro e Fabio. Ci siamo ispirati alle Heller Bock, birre chiare a bassa fermentazione con una buona gradazione alcolica e un profilo maltato.
Insieme abbiamo creato una ricetta rivisitata con una visione più moderna dello stile: il risultato è una birra dal colore dorato carico che si presenta con una bella schiuma bianca. Al naso arrivano aromi di crosta di pane, miele e una nota erbace date dal luppolo.
In bocca è tonda e appagante ma non rinuncia alla bevibilita grazie ad un finale leggermente amaro che invoglia al sorso successivo.

Fabio and I were chatting over a beer in Bamberg, homeland of traditional lager, when we had idea of doing a collaboration brew.
We were inspired by the Heller Bock style of bottom-fermented, pale beers with a decent alcohol level and a profile strong in malt and cereals.
We created and perfected the recipe together and the result is a golden beer with a nice, white head. On the nose, there are pleasant aromas of crusty bread, honey and a herbaceous note provided by the hops.
On the palate, the beer is well-rounded and satisfying but a slightly bitter finish that entices the drinker to take another sip ensures it remains highly drinkable.
