Tsar Peter Tripel Aged In Tawny Port Barrels 2021/2

This The Shipcarpenter tripel is a heavy tripel. Heavy, but smooth at the same time. It has been aged on tawny port casks for nearly a year. Portwine and dark fruits are nicely balanced with the 9.5% alcohol. The nose has hints of fresh wood and dried fruits.

Peter the Great learned the ship carpentry profession in The Netherlands. He found that wood makes almost everything better. That knowledge is used by us today, therefore we release our barrel aged beers as The Cooper’s Dream Series.

Great beers become even better and more intense by aging in used wooden barrels hand selected by our master brewers.

When we age our ‘The Shipwright’ tripel on ex-spirit barrels, we name it Tsar Peter after Peter the Great. Each vintage has been layed to mature on different barrels.
