Steve Nicholls is drinking a Best of British Hops - CF127 by Fownes Brewing Company at The Weavers Real Ale House
Like this. Better than a lot of reviews here. Possibly not kept well by previous suppliers.
Fownes Brewery: I imagine you might be right there Steve. Great pub.
Fownes Brewery: You weren't actually drinking this 17 hours ago were you?
Tony Sault: Yes mate
Fownes Brewery: Okay. It was on at the beer festival the other week is why I asked. Was it okay in a beer quality/ condition sense?
Tony Sault: To be fair, it didnt seem too good but I wasnt a fan of it originally.
Fownes Brewery: Cool. Always like to keep an eye on these things. Thanks for letting me know. I've now passed on everyone's comments to the growers.
Mark Evans is drinking a Best of British Hops - CF127 by Fownes Brewing Company
Like drinking vinegar.
Earned the Pale as the Moon badge!Fownes Brewery: Sorry to hear that Mark. Are the festival not keeping the beer in good condition or was it something specific that wasn't to your liking?
Fownes Brewery: The growers of the hop CF127 are looking for feedback so we'd be happy to pass your comments on if you'd like to elaborate.
Mark Evans: It has a slightly astrigent aroma which I don't mind. But then it's fairly thin and doesn't deliver much either way. Don't mean to offend!
Fownes Brewery: Thanks Mark. Were you able to pick out any particular flavours and aroma? So far we've had it described as tangerine and bubblegum.
Mark Evans: Slightly sweet but no distinct flavours.
Sam Maynard is drinking a Best of British Hops - CF127 by Fownes Brewing Company at Stourbridge Town Hall Theatre
Not a fan.
Fownes Brewery: Hi Sam The growers are looking for constructive feedback if youd like to elaborate on what you didn't like about the flavour CF127 provides
Sam Maynard: I found it watery and lifeless, tastes a little like a tap beer when the pipes aren't well kept. At a beer festival though.
Fownes Brewery: Thanks Sam. Were there any particular flavours you were able to pick out? So far people have suggested tangerine and bubblegum.
