We took a BIG Brown Ale (9% ABV) and put it in Bourbon Barrels for 4+ months. When the beer emerged, it poured mahogany brown with a big creamy head and so much more. An enticing mix of roasted chocolate, raisins, spice and a hint of heavenly funk aromas, permeate your nose as you breathe in the goodness.
Oak, bourbon, toffee and caramel are readily evident on the first sip. Then a malty sweetness followed by a touch of funk tartness take you to a nice dry finish.
