It’s not bad. Rather tannic. The beer offers less roasty flavor and a slight hint of musty flavor compared to the base. The musty flavor makes it feel…..ancient. On brand for an Egyptian themed brewery.

Rich & malty. Unlike many barrel aged stouts this one has only a hint of sweetness. This leans more toward bitter oak tannins that leave a dryness on the palate. It's unique in that sense but may take the drying bitterness a bit too far to be outstanding.
