Sorta Pils

Our second stab at an Italian pilsner, Sorta Pils was modeled after our 2021 Kinda Pils. We tweaked the hop profile this time around, aiming for more citrus and floral notes. Birrificio Italiano of Como, Italy is credited with the creation of the “Italian-style Pilsner” with their Tipopils- translating to “Kind of a Pils.” The style has a light, crisp body akin to their German counterpart, but is defined by a more prominent noble dry hop aroma. For our Sorta Pils, we brewed with 100% floor malted pilsner malt, double decocted, fermented cold and slow, dry hopped with Saphir, Hüll Melon and Mistral, then lagered for 7 weeks. These hop additions provide the beer with a delicate perfume of pomelo, zesty citron and tulips, partnered with a doughy malt character. Floral, citrusy, clean and dry, this Sort of a Pils is ultimately refreshing and the perfect beer to pair with the beginning of Spring. Show Less
