Maibock

Back in February our dear friends Bill and Ashley from Bierstadt Lagerhaus in Denver Co, Flew out to Nashville to make wort and have a good time. While taking a break from gorging on hot chicken and late night honky tonking we managed to brew a beer. Mashed with a conscientiously chosen blend Heirloom barley varieties from Weyermann. As per German tradition it was double decocted for a light malt caramelization and superior drinkability and hopped with the finest Tettnanger from hopheadfarms. Our Maibock spent 11 weeks lagering at frigid temperatures in neutral oak barrels. A waft of springtime, with its malty sweet aroma and floral, grassy layers. Show Less
