A bump from the first time. Barrel influence on the nose is great; oaky, strong w/ notes of dark fruit & coffee. Flavors still too malty, but saved by undertones of toasted oak, stewed fruits, & baker’s chocolate. Finishes thin, a bit tinny, and warm.

Very malt-forward. Thin, with a fairly effervescent carbonation. Hints of booze on the tail. It’s well-brewed, but not my kind of imperial stout. Needed more oomph.
