Neck Tat That Says Evil B̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ IPA

Brewed in conjunction with the release of Michael Dawson’s “Mashmaker” homebrew book. We took a recipe from his new book, brewed it up, and held a wort rally on Black Friday. We gave away half of the wort to eager homebrewers, then held onto the rest for us. The goal was his “Evil” Black IPA recipe. However, our cold steep method really gave us more of an India Brown Ale. Very low malt aroma, just a hint of roast from the cold steeped black malt. Prominent hop aroma and flavors of pine, grapefruit, citrus, and a little spice. Moderate bitterness with a medium mouthfeel. Pours a clear light brown with an ivory head. Show Less
