This collaboration with Vonseitz Theoreticals came about while brewing a Traditonal German hefeweizen together. Von Sietz often employs a very unique yeast pitching techinque called MYSTA, multiple yeast strain titer additions, and with the hefeweizen yeast filling the brewery with amazing aromatics, we started to talk about what other yeast it could pair with. We agreed a Belgian Farmhouse style yeast sounded perfect and Bauernhaus was born.
