Introducing: “Something English,” English Bitter, 4.8%: The market has us slaves to juice, but every now and then when there’s a tank open, we find ourselves in production meetings yearning aloud for “something English.” These sessionable, balanced beers walk a taut line between biscuity malts and earthy hops. Commercial suicide beers such as these are only sexy insofar as tradition is sexy, but the truth is, if we could only drink one thing for the rest of our lives, something English would probably be it.
