Gorgeous strong dark ale, malty-sweet with roasty and berry notes and an earthy hoppy bitterness.

Well Accomplished old ale with the expected vinous notes and heaps of dark fruit flavours. Sadly the last of my A&H haul. What a brilliant brewery.

We meant to try this at the Riverside beer festival but were diverted by the double digit beers and wacky antics and forgot to return to the A&H zone. Now remedied. Sweet, toffee malty, background of plums and spice

New style klaxon. I missed it at the festival, but David V. Got me one to make up for it. Earthy with a bit of a smoky edge. Not really what I was expecting.

Jimmy Rushworth is drinking a Henry's Burton Ale by Anspach & Hobday at Brew By Numbers

This was super interesting on Saturday, trying an old school recipe from a Brewery who deliver great dark beers (The Porter). Sweet and malty, loads of toffee fudge and caramel. Classic British flavours.
