Surprisingly good - the brewery is new to me, so just wasn’t expecting it? - wonderfully complex, fall fruits and banana, clove and spice, robust body - really nice. And bonus pts for the Canadian military history lesson - well done!

A tasty blonde, lots of fruit character like banana, apricot and cantaloupe, touch of tart astringency, white pepper overtone and notes of clove.

Familiar hint of "barnyard" on the nose custom of some Belgians, hits of pear on the front ending with a hoppy bitterness through to the finish.

Love it. Has that belgiany taste I ask for when someone asks what I want in a beer. A bit of a bitter (hops?) aftertaste but Belgian foreword notes. Glad I got 3 cans.

7.0% was the best part. Normal beer other-wise. Nasty aftertaste. Not a terrible aftertaste, was at least very drinkable.
