We added our own twist to this traditional style by using a small amount of aged hops and packaging in clear glass to conjure up a controlled amount of skunk and aged hop funk that we love very dearly. Known as “the champagne of the north” this beer is slightly tart, sparkling, dry, nuanced, and a culmination of years of brewing, drinking, and thinking about this beautiful old world style of wheat beer. Woodfin Lager is a culmination beer for us. We love crafting our take on traditional European style beers, and if you've been to the brewery over the years, odds are you've tried our Pilsners and our Helles. We have a bit of a love affair with both of those styles, and Woodfin Lager is a beautiful melding of the two. While all of our beers are brewed with Woodfin water, this particular lager has very minor adjustments in terms of stripping down or adding to, showcasing just a bit more local character. As the first brewery in Woodfin, we thought it fitting to name this beer after the town it's made in. Read Less
