Oof. Spirit, boozy nose, but flavours are more muted. Luxurious sweet chocolate and dried fruit, it's a bit of a liquid Christmas cake of a beer. Alcohol notes are muted but I'm sure I'll feel it in an hour or so....

Flight #2, this is nice and light to leaven the other beasties to come. Lovely and light, apple but not cidery, the 'pie' element is coming through more with each sip.

Aroma is spot on for a Belgian Strong, flavour profile is perhaps a little dryer than some, less 'honeyed', but it's certainly a decent example in my view.
