Gold Top Milk Stout by The Rebel Brewing Company

Mat H. is drinking a Gold Top Milk Stout by The Rebel Brewing Company

RB backup. June 9 2014. 330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with creamy head. Milky liquorice aroma, taste is sweet molasses, milk chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits & bitter coffee. Nice.

Helene by The Rebel Brewing Company

Mat H. is drinking a Helene by The Rebel Brewing Company

RB backup. Dec 2 2013. Pours an unwelcoming murky orange-brown, fairly lively on opening, receding to very little head fairly quickly. Has a diluted spicyness, with disappointingly weak wit flavours and slightly overripe bananas.

Norman W. is drinking an Eighty Shilling by The Rebel Brewing Company at Nottingham Castle

Time-warp check-in: 2013 Robin Hood Beer Festival 11.10.13. with Dave & JB. VG/M-B. A classic winter ale with a hint of a porter. Scottish style said the notes but brewed as far away as you can get in Britain!

Retro check-in again: AA's Easter Beers of Cornwall Festival. 18.4.14. Me, JB & my late pal Dave. . OK/M-B. Full bodied, SWEET in a big way. Ena Sharples would have loved this! Too much for my blood glucose levels.

Norman W. is drinking an Eighty Shilling by The Rebel Brewing Company at Doncaster

Back in time check-in: Doncaster Beer Festival 10.4.15. VG/B. Very mysterious is this. Scottish name and it is very malty, but it's not a heavy. It's brewed in Cornwall so Celt connections. It's a winter ale - nearly a porter!.
