As a 10 barrel brewery we are classed as a microbrewery, and it’s a scale of brewing that we love, with 2880 pints in every batch. Our main brewery equipment consists of a grist case, hot liquor tank, mash tun, copper and 3 fermentation vessels.
In addition there is the Cygnet brewery. This 300 pint brewery is used for beer recipe development and small batches of special ales.
We pride ourselves in brewing classic beer styles with skill and a consistency of quality which has drinkers and publicans returning for more.
We hold the Society of Independent Brewers’ (SIBA) Green Business Award recognising our commitment to work with local suppliers; partner with other local food producers; ensure all our spent ingredients go to a good home; ensure all our surplus packaging gets reused and for weaving an approachable story around the message of sustainability which people can relate to.
We mainly deliver direct in to pubs and clubs in Herefordshire and just in to neighbouring counties, building up a base of around 200 free trade accounts for our draught ale and around 50 shops, delis and farm shops for our bottled ales.
As you'll see from our beer list these are getting numerous enough that you can have a game of beer bingo with the pump clips of the cask ales we have brewed.
